This is the opportunity

You combine creative thinking and excellent Web programming skills to develop and enhance B2B and B2C portals. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to understand business and user needs. You will bring Web design and content together to create superior online service solutions.

You may have experience in the professional services or consulting areas of an enterprise software firm. You are an independent, hands-on, self starter able to work collaboratively with customers and the management team

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture and analyze end user and business requirements
• Create Web designs and participate in design walkthroughs
• Work collaboratively with content creators to understand multimedia presentation constraints
• Implement technical designs as working database driven Web applications
• Test developed software using standard methodologies
• Support developed Web applications by assisting in deployments and addressing technical issues
• Learn required technologies, standards and methodologies as necessary

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or university degree in Computer Science or related field
• A Macromedia ColdFusion or Microsoft ASP.NET Development certification is an asset

Past Experience

• 3 -4 year experience in Web development in ColdFusion and ASP.NET, ASP
• 1-2 years experience in database Web development (MS SQL Server, ORACLE)
• Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Experience working with end-users and business stakeholders to develop detailed system specifications
• Full system development life cycle experience
• Experience with testing and quality assurance of enterprise Web applications
• Some experience with J2EE, JavaServer Pages (JSP) and servlets, enterprise JavaBeans (EJB)
