This is the opportunity

You combine creative thinking and excellent Java programming skills to develop on-time and on-budget enterprise applications. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate those needs into requirements/design specifications and code. You have experience with another professional services or consulting company or have been part of a software development team. You are an independent, hands-on, self starter able to work collaboratively with front line clients and the management team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture and analyze software requirements
• Create technical designs and participate in design walkthroughs
• Implement technical designs as working enterprise applications
• Test developed software using standard methodologies
• Support developed software by assisting in deployments and addressing technical issues in the target environment
• Learn required technologies, standards and methodologies as necessary

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: University degree in Computer Science or related field
• Java Development certifications are an asset

Past Experience

• 3-4 years experience in developing enterprise level multi-tier applications using Java/J2EE, Jakarta Struts, Jakarta Torque, OC4J, enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), XML/SOAP
• 3-4 years experience in the design and implementation of business solutions using BEA WebLogic, Tomcat, or Oracle Application Server
• 3-4 years experience in application related database development (T-SQL, PL/SQL)
• 1 -2 year experience in Web development using JavaServer Pages (JSP), servlets, and JavaScript
• Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Experience working with end-users to develop detailed system specifications and implementation plans
• Experience with testing and quality assurance of enterprise applications
